Program Tour No.3  Doi Tung,Mae Sai,Golden Triangle and Chiang Saen

This program tour is covered for most of Chiang Rai’s tourist attraction. The first place to visit is the 5 hill tribes that live here There will still be cultures of each tribe to be seen, such as hand weaving, traditional clothing of each tribe, characteristics of houses. Next, we will drive up to Doi Tung to see the flower gardens including mixed flowers from many country, which is beautiful, and then we will visit Doi Tung Royal Villa or also known as  the Royal Villa of the Princess Mother of King Rama 9th of Thailand. Then, about half an hour’s we will drive from Doi Tung towards  east is “Sop Ruak” where you can see the boundary between Thailand Burma and Laos. You will learn more about this history of opium by visiting the House of Opium. After that about 10 Kilometers, we will drive to the south of Chiang Saen. This city is used to be an ancient city and it has been established more than 1,000 years ago. The city was along an important “highway” that was the Mekong River and it was one of the most important cites of the Lanna Kingdom. The city fell into ruin soon after the Burmese were defeated in the 18th century. This picturesque ancient city is beginning to reawaken. Much restoration work has been done on ancient structures such as temples, pagodas and the earthen city ramparts to keep enemies away.

The tour start at 09.00 am. and will take you back to the hotel between 6.00 pm.- 6.30 pm.
