PDA Tour has been organizing trekking tours for more than 15 years. In the year 2001, PDA had the opportunity to open a new trail that is used exclusively by PDA Tours.

We saw the opportunity to incorporate community-based tourism opportunities for villagers. These opportunities included home stays, arranging local transportation, porters, catering and local entertainment.

Village banks that were established by PDA have benefited from these income generating activities. Anywhere from 10 to 30 percent of the income is donated by villagers to the village bank.

You have a choice of treks to choose from.  If you are traveling with children aged 5 to 12 years old, you might want to consider our 1 or 2 day treks. This tours (Tour program 10 and 11) includes a one-hour long tail boat ride up the Kok River, a two-hour elephant ride uphill to a Lahu village and a one-hour downhill trek.

Tourists that require more challenging programs can select our 3-day tour programs (Tour 12 or 13).
